ABOUT ME

Hi, I'm Jen

LIVED, WORKING CLASS
EXPERIENCE

Jen grew up just a few miles down the road from her district in Northern Davidson County, living in a trailer on her Grandparent's land. Her Papaw came from a long line of German Moravians searching for a better life. Her Mamaw graduated from Baptist Medical Center's diploma nursing program at a time when it was uncommon for women to pursue careers. Her mom raised Jen and her sister mostly on her own, working long hours to keep the family afloat.

A true Daddy's girl, Jen learned first hand how our Veterans are treated after their service. After his time in Vietnam, she saw the lack of adequate medical and mental health care, and she spent hours visiting him during periods of incarceration - wishing for a country that better cared for its working-class heroes and people.

Jen did not grow up around power, but she did grow up around the hardworking men and women who deserve some. She walked the same streets, attended the same schools, and lived the same struggles as the people living in North Carolina's District 75.

Nurse Assisting Patient

A TRUE CHAMPION
OF THE WORKING CLASS

Jen has spent more than 20 years in healthcare in service to her community, including a decade-long career in emergency medicine, trauma, and acute surgical services. It was there that she learned the truth behind the lies she had been told about "welfare queens" and immigrants stealing tax dollars - they simply weren't. Most of these patients avoided the hospital at all costs and often came when it was too late.

She saw firsthand the real cost of failing to invest tax dollars in a healthy and educated society - and instead funding preventable chronic disease on the back end. Today, Jen devotes her time and energy to digital health solutions that improve patient access, lower costs, and raise quality of care.

Jen is the proud mom of two young kids and will marry a 15-year Army Veteran in 2026. She has also taken on the role of "bonus mom" to a teenage son. She stays deeply involved in her children's public schools, volunteers with the unhoused in her community, and mentors the local healthcare technology startup founders. Most days, you'll find her at home with her family, two cats, and two dogs - or outside enjoying nature.

CAMPAIGN PROMISE

Our State. Our Labor. Our Future.

This is a campaign that puts people first—over profits, politics, and power. We reject the labels used to divide us: right vs. left, black vs. white, citizen vs. immigrant, straight vs. gay, Christian vs. Muslim, housed vs. unhoused, packed lunch vs. free lunch.

The truth is simple: it’s the people versus the powerful. We are the people, and our government belongs to us—of us, by us, and for us.
